WHAT'S alarmING

According to an analysis prepared by NASA scientists, April 2016 was the hottest in 137 years of record-keeping, and April 2017 was the second warmest. This graph shows the month-to-month, year-to-year global temperature patterns over seasonal cycles since 1880.

Since the date of this graph April 2019 has superseded April 2017 for the distinction of the second hottest April, thereby continuing the record-breaking heat trend.
