WHAT'S ALARMING
Vector borne diseases (i.e., those spread by insects such as fleas, ticks and mosquitoes) are influenced by climate. Certain diseases are particularly sensitive to climactic conditions, such as Dengue Fever, which has shown a 30-fold increase over the last 50 years, and virus behind the latest epidemic, Zika.
